Lutley Wedge 01/05/13 Sunny, clear skies. Calm-(S/SE) F1/2

(Showing signs of pre-breeding moult, with a single fresh moulted inner greater covert and median covert visible)

Pale morph Common Buzzard 1/5/13
(this strikingly pale Buzzard certainly quickened the pulse as it circled in high overhead, pale variants occur more commonly in Northern European populations and wherever this bird is from it's certainly not one of the patch locals!)

It's got a good chance of being the regular pale bird that i see at the West Hagley Fields - i am pretty sure it is one of a brood of 3 that were present about 3 years ago......
