'Starlings Surge'
A virtually finch free morning in a strong SE wind other than a few Siskin and Redpoll moving though Woodpig's ploughed on regardless, most contouring low and S/SW and there was a slight upturn in numbers of Redwing and Fieldfare moving. Starlings were the big movers however with packs flying through from first light heading through low across the wind followed by some large high flocks later coming in from the E/NE.

That's an impressive movement of Starlings through Lutley Craig. I noticed yesterday a couple of flocks of 100+ Starling heading West over Shenstone
